Landscaping
GLAFHS constantly endeavours to restore the dominance of natural elements as the identity of any place or property in cities and towns by promoting and emphasizing both soft and hard landscaping, and by sensitizing people to the power and influence of landscaping in improving health, quality of life, and the aesthetics and environment of their surroundings.
Agriculture, Forestry and AgroForestry
Though we cannot entirely do away with the separated agriculture and forestry systems but a gradual progression of practicing a blend of both is the need of the hour to move from subsistence agriculture to profitable agriculture. This blend allows diversification of farm activity and makes better use of environmental resources and helps the farmers in generating continuous revenue.
It also assists the farmers become less dependent on crop subsidies, and less susceptible to vagaries of nature and crop price variations, as it generates additional income for them by selling timber, honey, lac and other products.
Horticulture
Sensing the great potential of Horticulture (cultivation of fruits, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants etc.) to improve the economic condition and livelihood of farmers, generating employment opportunities, The Government is giving impetus by launching programs/schemes related to efficient irrigation systems, availability of high yielding quality seed and planting material, access to technical know-how, encouraging cultivation under climate controlled structures, communication and transport facilities for easy marketing of produce in domestic and international markets, increasing cold storages and other storage structures, trouble-free access to finance among many others. It is high time that farmers make use of these programs and increase their income significantly. Our landscaping operations include planning, design, management, conservation and rehabilitation of open spaces and properties. The strength of our team to observe spaces & in detailing, being creative & innovative in designing, construction and maintenance will help green lovers to achieve their dream landscapes.
